Your workplace should be free from discrimination and harassment.

Meet Ashley

Ashley L. McCormack recently closed her private practice, McCormack Law, in New Bedford, Massachusetts to join Goddard Law, a New York City–based law firm with a national employment practice. While her practice has expanded, Ashley remains deeply committed to serving the New Bedford community. She continues to provide the same dedicated, client-centered representation—now strengthened by the resources, reach, and collaborative support of a larger firm.

Ashley is an associate at Goddard Law, where she represents employees in a wide range of employment matters, including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and other workplace rights claims. A former Massachusetts prosecutor, she brings trial-ready preparation, sound judgment, and a strong sense of justice to every case. Ashley is licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and New York.

Ashley began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office in New Bedford. There, she prosecuted thousands of criminal cases in the district and juvenile courts. Her work—marked by thorough preparation, thoughtful advocacy, and deep empathy—continues to shape her approach as a plaintiff-side employment attorney seeking accountability for workplace misconduct.

Prior to joining Goddard Law, Ashley led her own practice at McCormack Law for five years, representing clients in criminal matters, care and protection cases, restraining orders, traffic matters, and plaintiff-side personal injury claims. She also practiced at two Boston-based litigation firms, handling cases involving personal injury, property damage, professional malpractice, consumer protection, wrongful death, and product liability. Having represented both individuals and corporations, Ashley brings a strategic and well-rounded perspective to advocating for workers facing discrimination, harassment, and abuses of power.

Ashley earned her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law and her Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University.

She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021 through 2025 and is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and NELA New York. Outside of her legal work, Ashley has volunteered with Discovering Justice, coaching mock trial teams, and is an active advocate in the fight to end ALS.

“Goddard Law is dedicated to representing employees and other individuals in all industries and at all employment levels. As advocates for workplace fairness, our passion and profession is to help advance the goals of employees and protect their rights against injustices at work. We understand how powerless individuals facing discrimination and retaliation can feel, and we have made it our duty to empower our clients to stand up to employers who have wronged them and also to move forward in the job market with confidence.”
