Meet Ashley.

Ashley earned her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law. During law school, she served as a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Revenue, and the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s (“JAG”) Corps.

After graduating from law school, Ashley's legal career began at the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney, she was instrumental in prosecuting criminal cases in New Bedford District Court, Fall River District Court, and the Bristol County Juvenile Courts. Her responsibilities encompass everything from bail hearings, pre-trial detention hearings, and suppression motions, to probation violations to jury trials.

Ashley’s tenure as a prosecutor has been a cornerstone in her legal practice, especially in formulating defense strategies for clients facing criminal charges. Her insider’s perspective on prosecution tactics empowers her to craft robust defenses, ensuring she is trial-ready at all times. Her tenure as a prosecutor also gave her the skills to confidently speak out in matters she believed in, to always strive for a fair and just result, and to conduct herself with integrity. She was accountable to members of the community and took this responsibility seriously.

Further diversifying her legal expertise, Ashley has been associated with two mid-sized, Boston-based law firms, representing both individuals and businesses as panel counsel for various national and international insurance companies. Her civil law practice is extensive, covering areas, such as personal injury, property damage, professional malpractice, consumer protection, wrongful death, and product liability. This experience includes managing a wide array of lawsuits, from automobile accidents and contract breaches to worksite fatalities. Ashley’s acumen in civil litigation is further enhanced by her experience on the opposing side of these cases, equipping her with a unique understanding of how to effectively advocate for individuals who have suffered due to others' negligence or wrongdoing against insurance companies. Ashley offers legal representation and a partnership grounded in experience, strategic insight, and unwavering dedication.

In addition, Ashley has expanded the firm’s services to include real estate, including purchase & sales agreements, closings, and land use. Ashley also serves as a Broker/Agent at Lanagan & Co. Real Estate, a full-service real estate brokerage and consultancy based in downtown New Bedford.
